The Riviera is a region blessed by the gods where magical cities such as Nice, Antibes, Cannes, Grasse, Monaco became a must to be seen from worldwide visitors. But the Riviera, due to its location between sea and mountains, is also appreciated for its landscapes, its light and its unspoiled nature.

Our guest house, in Tourrettes, enjoys an ideal location between the coast and the countryside which offer a variety and a contrast of landscapes. So you can, depending on your mood, get easily to many coastal sites, to famous cities and small lost villages such as Saint-Dalmas de Selvage.

We can propose you many excursions such as visiting the hilltop villages scattered throughout the Alpes Maritimes. These villages have their own charm and dominate the Mediterranean Sea or the valleys of the hinterland. Among the best known, Eze, Gourdon, Saint-Paul de Vence, Peillon, St. Agnes, Saorge … Not to mention our village Tourrettes, city of the violet !

Garden lovers will be thrilled. Indeed, the Riviera, thanks to its mild climate, is a land of choice that offers a range of exceptional gardens and parks. Menton, nicknamed “The Pearl of France” has experienced a boom in the nineteenth century with the creation of beautiful gardens famous for their tropical plants.

For hikers, many trails on both Mediterranean coast and in the medium and high country await you. We can recommend you a selection of hikes with trails starting from La Rochelière or close by. Cyclists will also discover the region, starting from our guest house and climbing the Col de Vence or the Gorges du Loup or riding to the Coast. A hut is available in our garden to put their bikes away.

Finally, art lovers are not forgotten and will be delighted. Indeed, the greatest artists from all over the world such as Renoir, Bonnard, Matisse, Picasso, Chagall and more recently César, Klein, Arman, Nicky de Saint-Phalle were inspired by the light of the Mediterranean. You will be able to admire their works in many museums, prestigious foundations, big galleries or other places of exhibition.
